The Google Summer party. Not as sunny and warm as was expected. But, there were no rains, so it was as good!

With Lia from the Italian Team

People at the party.. Can you believe it was actually 845PM?

Riverdance.

I have wanted to watch the Riverdance ever since I first watched it on TV, 7 years ago.

It was like a dream. I am so lucky that they are performing at their home country during the three months that I am also here. I was luckier to get good tickets.

Incredible!

The Classic Beatles concert, performed by the Bray seaside. It was a lovely evening and everyone (old people and little kids) seemed to be having a great time! I had a wonderful time! I can’t even imagine what it would have been like to be at a real Beatles concert.

Newgrange and The Hill of Tara

An experience of a lifetime! I visited the Hill of Tara (http://www.knowth.com/tara.htm) and a 5000 year old tomb in Newgrange (http://www.knowth.com/newgrange.htm).

The Hill of Tara is special because it’s a low rounded hill with the best view of Ireland. On a clear day, one can see up to 20% of Ireland. Therefore it is not surprise that it became the most popular place for the homes of Kings. It also happens to be the place where St. Patrick brought Christianity to the Irish.

In the earlier days, the son of a king did not automatically become a king. When it was time for a new king, the contenders had to pass tests and the one who passed all tests would come to the top of the Hill of Tara and touch this stone. If the sky screamed out then, it would mean that it was intended for him to be king. However, if there was silence, he would go back and live a life of shame.

Here I am, at the stone – on top of the world!

Newgrange… another wonderful experience! A 5000 year old tomb, in perfect condition! Newgrange is best during the week of the winter solstice. This is when the tomb is lit to its maximum. The sun’s rays enter the tomb directly with great intensity.
