Sunday 16th July 2006

Sunday 16th July 2006

On Sunday, I went to Trinity College. There, I saw parts of the book of Kells. It was quite an experience! Here is a picture of me by the Arnoldo Pomodoro sculpture by the library.

There is an interesting story about Trinity College. In January 1902, the then principal, George Salmon, said that he would let women into the college only ‘over his dead body.’ In February that year, he died and in March, women were let into the college.
